Topic:
While dual oral antiplatelet therapy with aspirin and a thienopyridine is a standard treatment in patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), many questions remain about its optimal use. Due to the need for improved antiplatelet therapy, new agents are presently under investigation. Thus, there is a requirement for insights and interpretations by experts in antiplatelet therapy on these emerging agents in comparison to current therapy.
